Em fires shots at many of the new generation of rappers, famous for their mumble raps and choppy flows in his new album Kamikaze. He gives props to rappers who are very lyrical like kendrick and j Cole but slams yachty, pump and tons of others. Do you think this is the spark that starts a lyrical vs mumble rapper war??

Quite frankly, unless he called out someone by name and insulted their mothers or wives, I doubt they would care, since it normally takes something personal to get a beef going.

Rock isn't really dead though.The MSM just likes to focus on pop acts.They will talk about taylor swift 50,000 times,but wont mention bands like the Alabama shakes or arcade fire even once.Even though both bands are really good.

Mumble rap isn't my thing either, but I can see the value in it for others.

To have a war there needs to be two parties. What exactly is a mumble rapper going to say to EM? People have been blasting on those years for year now and not one shot back.

@dernman: he does but that’s because he’s been shot in the face before, em really targeting the young guys that don’t use many words, rhyme and say the same thing over and over, use a trap beat and obsessively rap in choppy triplets all the time, basically he’s bent out of shape cuz of how hard he works for his music where as the new guys just repeat the same two words over and over again and call it a song, not much work or talent involved and then consumers call it good music. I wouldn’t say 50 falls into that category
