AFRO SAMURAI | THE VENGEFUL WARRIOR

Afro is an incredibly talented swordsman whose father was decapitated in front of his own eyes as a child. That traumatic experience caused an innocent little boy to have a mind flustered with revenge and, with that, Afro grew into a cold-blooded killer, willing to kill anyone in his pursuit of the number one. As the number two, Afro has killed many in defense and revenge for the ultimate goal of avenging his father.

ATTACK POTENCY

When it comes to attack potency, Afro Samurai is a force to be reckoned with, to the point that if his attacks land, Afro will quite literally cleave Batman in two.

Slide 1 - Afro Samurai thrusts his sword through the metal spine of Jinno. This feat was accomplished while Afro Samurai was heavily injured, so he should be capable of much more.

Slide 2 - Afro Samurai silces a cyborg clean in two, cutting through his brain and through his cybernetic parts, which was composed of several inch thick metal parts. And Afro Samurai sliced through it like butter.

Needless to say, unless Batman's suit has insane piercing capability I am unaware of, it will offer Batman little protection against Afro Samurai's blade and won't stop Afro from cutting him to shreds.

SPEED

This is where Afro Samurai really shines. Based on my knowledge of Batman, which is admittedly limited, Batman's main bullet timing feats stem from evasive maneuvers. If this is truly correct, Afro Samurai is simply in another tier of speed than Batman, as he has consistently displayed the ability to cut bullets in half.

Slide 2 - Afro Samurai dodges and deflects gunfire from a .44 magnum.

In general, cutting bullets in half>dodging bullets for fairly obvious reasons. With dodging, the time window in which you have to move evade the bullet is very liberal in that you can easily dodge a bullet after it has only crossed an inch and still be a bona fide bullet timer. However, with slicing a bullet in half, the time window is much more strict in that you have to wait until the bullet is within cutting distance, around point blank range, before you can even make a move. This would require you to actually perceive the movement and process the movement of the bullet, unlike with evading a bullet, which people in real life are capable of doing without necessarily having to perceive speeding bullets. It would also require you to have an insane amount of precision and sense of timing which ties back into brain processing. Overall, there are a lot more factors at play with cutting a bullet in half than there are with dodging a bullet.

So as I said before, unless Batman has bullet timing feats that are more impressive than evading gunfire, then Afro Samurai comfortably holds the advantage in speed by a profound margin.

DURBAILITY

Afro Samurai may not look it, but he is one of the more durable characters in the street level tier.

Slide 1 - Afro Samurai gets hit through multiple stone pillars. And he managed to tank this while already being heavily fatigued and injured.

Slide 2 - Afro Samurai gets bullrushed through a building by an enemy cyborg.

Both of these feats should ensure that Afro Samurai won't get taken out of the fight should he be tagged by Batman.

SKILL

Surprisingly, this is an area where Afro Samurai could give Batman a run for his money. Afro Samurai's best skill feats, most notably when he outmaneuvered and oneshotted the Afro Droid, could allow him to press Batman in CQC and even overwhelm him.

The Afro Droid is 20 percent stronger and faster than Afro Samurai and has knowledge of all his fighting styles and strategies. The only way to overcome such a foe was for Afro Samurai to use an unconscious fighting style, striking from his subconscious mind and becoming unpredictable with his movements. His movements were described as unique to his physical essence, meaning that Batman will have no counter for them. With this, despite the immense physical gap and despite facing an opponent who knew his next move before he did, because of his unconscious movements, he was able to completely outmaneuver him and blitz him.

So Batman better have some pretty insane skill feats if he has any chance of countering Afro Samurai's erratic and unpredictable fighting style.

CONCLUSION

Thus, Afro Samurai wins for the following reasons

• Afro Samurai can cut Batman to shreds with his monstrous attack potency


• Afro Samurai should be faster than Batman


• Afro Samurai has inhumane levels of durability


• Afro Samurai can give Batman a run for his money with his skill
