Correcting ascii rendering in text using Python

0

I have a string that says:

" CeAgSb2 crystallizes in the tetragonal ZrCuSi2 type structure
(P4/nmm), which consists of Sbâx80x93Ce, Sbâx80x93Agâx80x93Ce,
Sbâx80x93Sb layers. It shows the peculiar anisotropic ferromagnetic
ordering below 9.7K with a small ordered moment of 0.33 μ B. Its
residual resistivity steeply increases above p c âx89 3.3 GPa"

This text has several characters such as subscript notations, units, etc. that are not being rendered correctly. I am not able to go back to the source to get the original document.

Is there a way that I can restore these to their original rendering using Python?

If I construct a dictionary of these symbols and their original counterparts, then I could reconstruct the original characters? Is that possible?

Does this already exist? (That would be great)
