Which of the two is more dangerous and posses a bigger threat?

Pretty much just anything you can say about the two.

Arguably the two most notable terrorist organizations in the middle east.

The Taliban and ISIS are both fighting continued insurgencies against the US-led international military coalition. I think ISIS has used more dangerous tactics to greater success in a shorter time span than the Taliban. They were able to conquer a lot of territory in the Middle East and Africa at the height of their success. The Taliban have been reduced to fighting as insurgents after the initial success of the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. Currently and overall, ISIS poses a far bigger threat than the Taliban, even after they lost in Iraq and are losing greatly in Syria. There are a bunch of terrorist organizations around the world who have pledged allegiance to ISIS, so their sphere of influence is greater than that of the Taliban.

ISIS but only because they've been around less time and have therefore been more extreme in order to draw recruits and capture territory. In reality they're both terrible and filled with the worst of humanity.

ISIS. Not to much on the actual battlefield where they just overran a poorly trained and motivated opposition that in somecases was already fighting someone else. But they were demonstrably more horrid to the people they ruled over. The Taliban were backwards, ISIS was medieval.

The real threat of ISIS lies in their draw in western muslims who are exposed to them online and swayed by their hogwash, becoming radialized as a result. The danger they really pose is when these people return home, legally or illegally, and either can't adapt or only return to cause terrorism.

However... neither of the two are as dangerous as they'd like you think. ISIS appeared to have little actual control over who did what in the West and just took credit for it regardless, and the only power they ultimately wield is to make us scared to go outside in the crowds. Taliban is even less of a concern because they were in charge of Afghanistan for over a decade, no one cared they were there save when they demolished centuries old buddhas and they didn't seem to care about anything beyond their borders. They just got caught in the crosshairs when their Al-Qaeda guest decided to pick a fight with the US.

Exactly; the Taliban just cared about their local rule, while ISIS wants to spread globally; I suppose the Taliban was sort of a local Mosque that spread all over the country, although forcefully with no real government opposition to protect the citizens; or, the Taliban just wanted to diffuse, while ISIS wanted to scatter; globally speaking, they just got caught up and somewhat confused with Al-Qaeda, when trying to compare them to ISIS; there may have been some sort of symbiotic interactions between the two in Afghanistan.

Based on philosophy, there is little if any difference between them. They both hold and even share extremist views. Based on methods though, ISIS is far more worse and evil. Even the Taliban told ISIS insurgents to chill. That's how bad they are.

Which of the two is more dangerous and posses a bigger threat?

Pretty much just anything you can say about the two.

Arguably the two most notable terrorist organizations in the middle east.

ISIS. Both are evil, but ISIS is much worse. At least the Taliban, for the most part, just stayed within Afghanistan. ISIS is a threat that has affected everywhere from New York City to Paris.

Because the same utterances guide their actions, I don't see a lesser evil there.
