Remember just a little while ago word got out that bad news was headed DC's way that was supposed to piss off DC fans? This was it. Worlds of DC is the formal announcement of the end of DC's shared universe. No multiverse(that's fan fic). It's done. DC is going back to random solos just like it was in times past.
The whole need for a "World of DC" announcment was totally pointless. We already know it's DC films. Why branded it? To make a negative look like a positive. To cover the fact they failed a bit.
Shared universes is what the war between fans have been about over the last 10 years. It's how the Avengers reached a 2 billion grossing film. It just ended with Marvel the victor.
They literally have all the hype now. That's why every studio is trying to start their own filmverse from Transformers to Valient. Random solos is just not enough anymore.
