Ladies and gentlemen, I come to you today with heart-breaking news. Count Dooku's first name has finally been revealed in Canon. And while some might have been curious for this revelation, it did not go well at all. Dooku's first name is... Earl. Yes. Earl. For those who doubt this is true, it's in the Battlefront II road map:

Battlefront II is considered a part of canon (well, the campaign story is, at least) and as such it has just cemented Dooku's first name as Earl. Seriously. Earl? What a stupid name.

What are your thoughts on this?

I'd say Hego Damask is the best sounding public name of the Sith Lords. Followed by Rugess Nome. Palpatine just works better mononymous. I don't think I could hold a straight face if Sate Pestage started calling Palpatine Sheev; maybe he does in Canon?

Yeah, Hego Damask and Rugess Nome are okay, but then again, we've always known them by those names. Calling the character Dooku your whole life only to find out his name is Earl is... weird. Especially with a name as dumb as Earl. Sheev is a great name though so you can accept it. Earl is horrible.
