This battle can only relate to the new 52 (only because they reinvented the character in the new 52). This battle is to see which person is strongest against the red. Post what ever you feel is necessary, so here we go!

Yeah that is what I was thinking, but in the new 52 Animal Man died. After he died the red decided to give him a second chance, so when they revived him they made him stronger then he was before. With that information I would give the edge to Animal Man, but only because Lemire decided to make him stronger.

Well id say swamp thing only because animal man is still a newbie with using his powers. but i think if he understood his powers more, especially after this new power up he could take swamp.

Definitely have to go with Swamp Thing. They even comment how powerful he is several times in Animal Man when they are on the way to find him in Louisiana. Swamp Thing has total control and can generate an assortment of weapons from vegetation like the spikes/antlers he used to impale the un-men that attacked him or when he turned his hand into a wooden sword and cut off Arcanes arm. That and I think his body is more durable than Animal Man's even when Buddy uses his powers.

@grandsymbiote94: planarian. They can regenerate their entire body and memories. As long as there is a tiny piece left they are effectively immortal.
