Ever since Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been constantly making theories about its sequel.

So, it only seems fitting I make one as well. I'm tying together leaked details, set photos and the most believable theories to create what I believe is Avengers 4's story.

-

The story starts a year after Infinity War. The earth is a dystopia, and the remaining Avengers/Guardians (Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Banner, Black Widow, War Machine, Hawkeye, Nebula, Rocket and Captain Marvel) are based in Wakanda, trying to pick up the pieces.

That’s when Ant-Man comes in. After falling through a time-vortex, he is now thrust a year from when he fell into the Quantum Realm. He finds the Avengers, and meets with Tony Stark. They come up with the idea of using the Quantum Realm to travel in time and erase what Thanos has done. They create handheld devices that will allow them to manipulate these time-vortexes. (This is what we saw on the characters’ hands in the set photos.) They plan to travel back in time and collect the Infinity Stones, using a “Gauntlet” created by Stark. Meanwhile, Thor remains in the present to create an army of dead Asgardians, striking a deal with Hela. Pepper suits up, and Shuri rebuilds Vision.

Unfortunately, Thanos catches wind of this, due to his cosmic awareness from the stones. He pursues the Avengers with his army as they go back in time to events such as the Battle of New York, the battle with Ultron in Sokovia (where they grab Quicksilver right before he dies) and the events before Guardians of the Galaxy. Everything they do alters reality in a way. At one point, Bruce grabs the mind stone and uses it to awaken the Hulk - but he emerges as Professor Hulk.

Before the climax, the Avengers collect the Soul Stone, and use it to bring back Spider-Man, Black Panther and everyone else. Doctor Strange tells the team his plan, and how long he has been planning for this.

The climactic battle scene occurs when Thanos battles all Avengers in the present day of this new reality. Steve, Hawkeye and some others die and Iron Man kills Thanos out of pure rage, but this isn’t the end.

The Living Tribunal shows up. He says that he will destroy and remake the universe because Thanos damaged the universe so much, but in the new universe he will give the heroes their dream lives. Iron Man says something like “How about no?” and battles the Tribunal, absorbing the stones into his armor. Strange helps him, and they fight in the mirror dimension. The Tribunal yields, but only if the team promises to destroy the Stones. They agree and do just that. Iron Man decides to go into space to “explore himself”, and appoints Captain Marvel as the team’s leader. Thor decides to rebuild Asgard, and has Valkyrie join the team as his replacement. Hulk leaves. Bucky becomes the new Captain America. The Avengers have a new roster, and the ending is happy.

Post-credit scenes

The first scene shows a teenager clutching his eyes as they glow red. Behind him, bullies are yelling stuff like “Hey red-eyes!” Then, the kid hears a voice in his head, saying “Hello, Scott”.

This sets up the X-Men in the MCU, and if it wasn’t already obvious, the guy with the glowing eyes is Scott Summers, and the voice in his head is Charles Xavier.

The second post-credits scene shows Hawkeye’s body lying on the ground. Suddenly, it turns green and wrinkled, showing that he is a Skrull.

So, what do you think? Could and should this be what Avengers 4 turns out like? Comment below!

That comes from evidence of a scene being filmed on secret location that involves Strange fighting a full-CGI character.

Don't think it'll happen that way. Don't think the LT will be featured at all. Thanos with the IG isn't really all that powerful to the point he can't be defeated. Nebula will play a major role and Captain Marvel will give Thanos a run for his money. Thor is already a big threat to Thanos. It's going to be a stomp in favor of the avengers.

Okay, I absolutely love that Cyclops post-credit scene! If anyone has to be the first X-Men teased, it’s Scott Summers
