You can't use ganjutsu on a person who can mix his chakra flow a another . all beakua needs to do is receive reiatsu from his zanpakto.

@zenpaktoe82: not this again, ganjutsu has failed number of times. Itachis can't affect if.

1.if a person is converting chakra faster than the the ganjutsu user can follow. Basically can't keep track of the brain waves ( explained when saskes ganjutsu failed to affect raikage)

2.it can't affect if a person receives chakra from someone else. Because it disrupts the chakra flow in the brain. ( seen when killer b ignored both saske and itachis ganjutsu and naruto escaping itachis ganjutsu via sakuras chakra)

3.if you don't make eye contact and fight with reflections . (stated by itachi and guy)

4. It can't affect if you stop the chakra flow (stated by kakashi)

5.lastly it is not effective if it's used on a stronger ganjutsu users

These are the 5 drawbacks of ganjutsu.

In the current topic Byakuya constantly receives spiritual energy from his zanpakto, each zanpakto is a different being by itself . It's energy is different from the user therefore, it disrupts the chakra flow in their brains. Which falls under category 2 of the above paragraph .

Of course this is assuming chakra and reiatsu are the same because chakra exists only in naruto verse. Humans prior to kaguya didn't have chakra. Plot holes aside some ganjutsu don't need chakra by singing etc.

@divinelightgoddess: try me. There are only 5 points and I've supported by specific in panel feats. This has been so many times i even remember which page some of those scans are from.

@thevivas: this doesn't apply to all ganjutsu as far as itachis goes it's already been proven on the manga.

All he needs to do is receive reiatsu from his zanpakto which is basically his shikai ie disrupts the chakra flow and breaks the illusion. Naruto was just starting until sakura and that old hag fed him their own chakra, which broke him free .

@flashback0180: Tsukuyomi isn't like that. 72 Hours in Tsukuyomi Genjutsu is one second in the real world and nobody can break that fast enough and Byakuya isn't breaking it. I haven't read bleach since Aizen vs Ichigo how strong has he gotten.

@flashback0180: People in Naruto go through specific training to combat genjutsu. Byakuya hasn't gone through at training.

People in Naruto know about genjutsu and how to notice when they're in one. Byakuya wouldn't.

And breaking out of a genjutsu isn't common knowledge in Bleach verse. He's not going to get caught in a technique he's never seen or heard of before and know how to break out of it.

@darkslumber: it's a broken concept .It's 72 hours for his consionsnous , the same rules still applies as soon as he access his zanpaktos power the chakra flow changes. Ie escapes.

It's rediciculous no one can explain a broken concept, because according to the concept kakashis brainwaves must have moved faster than hundred million times than his normal state, for him to perceive pain and emotion of 72 hours in a second .

@thevivas: you don't need a special technique to break out of the jutsu just destrupt the flow of chakra with someone/something else.

Byakuya as a captain constantly uses his zanpakto altering his chakra/reiatsu flow every time.

@flashback0180: And? Again that doesn't mean he can just "break" out of it. Obito was using the Sharingan to control the Third(I think it was the Third) Mizukage, and he was a perfect Jinchuriki.

And MS makes that moot anyway. He loses the second he gets caught in Tsukuyomi.
