Madara is not stronger than goten or trunks. If fusion is allowed, then they murder.

Limbo clones and human path can end the fight. They are both pretty dumb so they wouldn't figure out what is going on before their soul gets ripped out.

Not only did you put Goten and Trunks, but you put DBS Goten and Trunks. DBS is the series where everyone gets repeatedly harmed and nearly killed by lasers and bullets. Goku almost dies to a "common ray gun", Krillin gets injured badly by a bullet, and base Goku got bruised by one. These are not outliers, as they are repeatedly shown. DBS also rectons all light speed and higher DBZ feats.

Madara stomps Goten and Trunks, as they are far too stupid and slow to fight him. Even DBS Goku may die unless he insta speed blitz Madara before Limbo soul steal, and Goku doesn't usually blitz people. So how can Goten and Trunks win?

Honestly, contrary to popular belief, DBS has rectonned almost everything that made DBZ a decently strong verse.
