Depends on whether shinji uses sakanade first or sasuke gets him in genjutsu.

Shinji definately has the raw power advantage. He should be able to win if he abuses his flight advantage and spams ceros.

Shinji's shikai would be useless against sharingan, I can see sasuke being able to either break the "genjutsu" or he's able to figure it out instantly anyway. I'm not saying he's anywhere near as intelligent as Aizen, but Aizen figured it out after two hits. He said that when it comes down to it, melee skill was the only thing that mattered against Shinji's shikai (or something along those lines).

Since it's pre ems Sasuke (as per update), it's going to be mainly taijutsu. This won't be a stomp without susanoo. But I still think Sasuke will win fairly easily, he's just showed far greater fighting skill.

In saying that, bleach characters can fly. And if we're going to be extra pedantic, would Sasuke even be able to see Shinji since he's a shinigami? Hmmm

Sakanade is not a genjutsu. How Sasuke supposed to negate a zanoakotu's shikai

Aizen beat Sakanade by using his own shikai and trapping Shinji in it's illusion. Hence why he said that "KS is farcry from sakanade"

@gxrevs06: Prove that Shinji's shikai doesn't act the same way as genjutsu. Like Kyoka Suigetsu, it's never explicitly said how the sensory manipulation happens. It may be controlled through reishi manipulation (i.e. genjutsu), they're different universes so it's a pretty bold statement to claim that it's one way or the other.

You're right about the second statement though, I had a look at the fight again. But Aizen was catching on pretty quickly without Kyoka Suigetsu.

Sakanade's Shikai ability creates a Sakasama no Sekai (逆様の世界, Inverted World; Viz "Upside Down World"). When spun, the sword creates a pink mist. Those who smell its pleasant aroma fall subject to an optical illusion. Shinji describes the release technique as something like a trump card. Up and down, left and right as well as forward and backward are reversed. However, it is not just the sense of direction that is changed; the opponent's eyesight, direction of incoming attacks, and injury locations are also inverted. Shinji claims that countering the damage from the inverted directions simply by processing it all within the mind is not possible. No matter how powerful the opponent, especially if one is accustomed to fighting, their body will not be able to adapt due to their reflexes preventing proper reaction, which causes them to continuously succumb to the power's effect.[112] The effect of the Inverted World can be targeted at or neglected from specific opponents, making it ideal for use in group fighting.[113] It also severely affects the equilibrium of those its power is used on giving them vertigo, causing confusion, disorientation and/or nausea. Shinji has further trained in its use to allow it to invert the words that he says as well.[114]

Does this look like an eye technique to you?

@thevivas: sakanade doesnt just cause optical illusions. Shinji later improved the ability such that even the words heard are heard bakwards and it also causes disorientation, loss of equilibrumand nausea. The sharingan isnt dealing with all that.

And shinji doesnt just need to rely n sakanade. He still has the raw power advantage, flight and ceros powerful enough to kill base grimmjow i.e. this version of sasuke isnt surviving a one hit from shinji.

It's not the same as genjutsu. Sakanade doesn't just with the senses, it literally reverses everything in'ts area of effect including sense of direction. Up literally becomes down and down becomes up. Left becomes and vice versa. Even Shinji's words are backwards. Last time I checked, Genjutsu does not do that. Oh and Sakanade emits a scent and those that smell become trapped in. Genjutsu is an eye technique

you guys the wiki is wrong. it's not an optical illusion. it was never stated to have anything to do with optics. it reverses the senses, it has nothing to do with TP or Genjutsu. It's more like a drug. Anyway he doesn't need it. Hebi Sasuke (this is him since no ms or ems) isn't hanging with Shinji.

Since it's pre ems Sasuke (as per update), it's going to be mainly taijutsu. This won't be a stomp without susanoo. But I still think Sasuke will win fairly easily, he's just showed far greater fighting skill.

You're right about the second statement though, I had a look at the fight again. But Aizen was catching on pretty quickly without Kyoka Suigetsu.

Does this look like an eye technique to you?

you guys the wiki is wrong. it's not an optical illusion. it was never stated to have anything to do with optics. it reverses the senses, it has nothing to do with TP or Genjutsu. It's more like a drug. Anyway he doesn't need it. Hebi Sasuke (this is him since no ms or ems) isn't hanging with Shinji. Maybe in speed but he tries to block attacks from him and gets sent flying.

Does this look like an eye technique to you?

you guys the wiki is wrong. it's not an optical illusion. it was never stated to have anything to do with optics. it reverses the senses, it has nothing to do with TP or Genjutsu. It's more like a drug. Anyway he doesn't need it. Hebi Sasuke (this is him since no ms or ems) isn't hanging with Shinji. Maybe in speed but he tries to block attacks from him and gets sent flying.

Shinji has further trained in its use to allow it to invert the words that he says as well.[114]

you guys the wiki is wrong. it's not an optical illusion. it was never stated to have anything to do with optics. it reverses the senses, it has nothing to do with TP or Genjutsu. It's more like a drug. Anyway he doesn't need it. Hebi Sasuke (this is him since no ms or ems) isn't hanging with Shinji. Maybe in speed but he tries to block attacks from him and gets sent flying.
