Page not pre-compiled error while hosting app in a upgraded Windows Server

0

I have restored a web application from Windows server 2008 to Windows server 2012. After hosting login page and home page is coming. But when I try to access other pages from the menu, page is redirected to error page saying 'page is not pre-compiled'.

In Windows 2008 server, application is running on .NET framework 3.5. So in the 2012 server, I have installed .NET version 3.5.

Is it possible to fix this issue by changing IIS settings or web.config. Or is this because of the .NET version which I used to publish the website.

Apart from installing .NET version 3.5 in Windows 2012 server, is there any other things which I need to check when I host the application (published on .NET 3.5 version).

  • It seems that you haven't published your files properly. Could you please kindly check that you have deployed your files properly?
