Have nginx config working across devices?
So, I want to host my nginx inside my dropbox, sync it across all my devices so that I can work on my projects on all my devices. Although nginx doesn't seem to like it.
Not sure if its possible, but is there a way to back out of directorys for the root? See below that my root directory uses ../ to back out, is this possible in any way?
People say I have to use an absolute path (IE: D:myfolderfilesroot), is this definite?
worker_processes 1;
events
worker_connections 1024;
http
include mime.types;
default_type application/octet-stream;
sendfile on;
keepalive_timeout 65;
server
listen 80;
server_name localhost;
root "../../../projects/websites/eshare/public";
location /
index index.html index.htm index.php;
error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html;
location ~ .php$
fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9123;
fastcgi_index index.php;
fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name;
include fastcgi_params;
include fastcgi.conf;

It looks insecure and ugly to me, but Nginx seems to work fine with/../in therootdirective. However, PHP does not work - there may be a security setting you can relax to allow PHP to work, but you are probably opening yourself up to all sorts of nasty exploits.
