Slugs in Codeigniter v.3 without Controllers and Actions

0

I have a case in which I have made a table of slugs with the following structure:

+--------------------+------------+--------+
| Slug | Controller | Action |
+--------------------+------------+--------+
| a-hello-world | page | index |
| user-profile-dummy | member | index |
+--------------------+------------+--------+

I have a default controller name Home now I want to load the actions like this. mysite.com/a-hello-world which will send a call to page controller with index method and param a-hello-world.
I've tried to do it like

$this->load->library('../controllers/page');
$this->page->index('a-hello-world');

But it's not supported in CI v.3 and gives error about other libraries I've used in Page controller
