Nele Maar, geborene Nele Ballhaus (* 1938 in Berlin) ist eine deutsche Familientherapeutin und Buchautorin.

Nele Maar ist die Tochter des Schauspieler-Ehepaars Oskar Ballhaus und Lena Hutter. Ihr Bruder war der Kameramann Michael Ballhaus.
Nele Maar studierte in Tübingen Psychologie und absolvierte nach Abschluss eine Ausbildung in Familientherapie. Danach arbeitete sie als Psychotherapeutin in einer Gemeinschaftspraxis in Bamberg.
Nele Maar hat drei Kinder und ist mit dem Kinderbuchautor Paul Maar verheiratet, mit dem sie Kinderbücher aus dem Englischen übersetzt hat. Die Kinder Anne Maar und Michael Maar sind ebenfalls Schriftsteller.
