What do you mean "IW Cap"?Only IW feats?And pre IW all of his feats from solo movies and Avengers 1/2?

IW Cap wins. The Wakanan shields are much better for 1 vs 1 close combat fights.

The classic one is better for other scenarios, because of its versatility.

I think the weapons are mostly equally dangerous, but I favor the Wakandan shields. They can form similarly solid defence put together (we haven't seen Steve using them enough yet, but I think there's potential for such formation, similar to how Quake and Black Widow use their gauntlets for strong defence in H2H), and they are for more dangerous offensively, both because they're a pair and because they are blades of the same material.

edit: while his original shield can be used as a ranged weapon, it's not a really good one unless we're talking extremely enclosed spaces.

Captain has too much experience with his older shield and is very creative with them.

But even here he might face a disadvantage since IW Captain America also knows every trick he would employ with the shield.

I'd say Pre IW Captain Amerivs tbh.

IW Cap

The old shield gives Cap a range advantage, but considering Cap is fast enough to react to it, that doesn't really matter. IW shield is better for cqc, so I'll side with IW Cap because that's where the fight will eventually lead almost certainly.

This all depends on range, and prep, but because the lack of any REAL details I would say IW Cap.

they are exactly the same character unless you think that the beard gives iw cap a better advantage.

@anthp2000: Were the wakandain shields ever used as blades? Everyone keeps saying there blades but I don't remember them cutting anything.

@anthp2000: I don't remember him cutting outriders. Just because he drew blood from Corvus doesn't mean there blades. I know they look like blades but I never got the impression they were blades watching the movie. All of caps attacks with the shields looked like blunt force damage.

It's pretty clear-cut (no pun intented) IMO.

Look at how pointy that thing is, it is obviously a blade. Even the old shield could cut through stuff, there is definitely piercing damage there

@anthp2000: I honestly can't tell if the shield is impaling the outrider in the gif. Its hard to get a good look at the point of impact. You can have cuts on you from blunt force. If I picked up a rock and hit you with it in the head you would probably bleed. They do look sharp but I don't know if thats enough if they were never shown to stab through anything.

If it does cut the cuts seem pretty shallow.

They're not swords or anything, but I think it's rather clear they deal piercing output. What makes it more dangerous than a small sword IMO, is the fact that it's blades made of vibranium. Also, the Outrider's body got impaled deep, the fact that Glaive was not affected much and only had 2 noticable scracthes is a testament to his durability.

They’re the same person but the dual shields are more powerful in CQC. I don’t think the difference is huge but it is appreciable.

The old shield is a negligent advantage. Cap can tank it and is skilled/fast enough to dodge or even catch it. The new ones grant him with one shot ability.

I am a rather conservative cosmic entity; I prefer Cap's old shield and Mjolnir over Stormbreaker.

Leaning towards IW Cap.

I think Cap with the original shield will beat IW cap.

Cap has shown the ability to dodge things so its not like he is 100% dependant on the shield. And he can use it to be alot more versatile and block a wider area compared to the small size of the gauntlets.

If pre iw keeps his distance he wins but I doubt the fight would go that way. I’ll give it to iw cap due to his blades who can one shot his other self

Do the new shields do that much more damage than the old shield? It's cut into pretty strong materials...

The main advantage IW Cap has is having two weapons to attack with.

I think new shields are better against Outriders but Cap would prefer his old shield in a fight. Pre IW Cap wins this.
