Error Code: 2013. Lost connection to MySQL server during query after a few seconds

I am having trouble when running a query in MySQL Workbench:
the query is interrupted because of lost connection, and this happens after only 8 seconds...

I have checked the usual sources of problems, namely:

  • Changing DBMS connection timeout

  • Changing interactive_timeout, read_timeout, ...

After relaunching the server, I see the query was successfully run though.

Running on MacOS

Any ideas on how to get around this ?
Many Thanks !
