On various sites I've seen various classifications for characters based on their power.

Here I mostly see things like street tier, mid tier, herald/teambuster/skyfather/abstract tier. So the question, what is the full classification? And what characters belong to what tier?

@toratorn:

STREET TIER: Guys like batman and Spidey.

MID TIER: Guys like iron man. characters who aren't street but definitely aren't herald either.

HERALD: Guys Like Thor and Silver Surfer. Can usually bust a planet or two, maybe more.

TEAMBUSTER: Guys like Thanos. Above herald but definitely not sky father.

SKY FATHER: Guys like Odin. Usually able to bust galaxies, arguably universal in power.

ABSTRACT: Guys like eternity and Living tribunal.

@asgardianbrony: uh-uh, thanks. And these are all tiers, right?

Seems like the "mid tier" is a very broad definition tho. I mean, characters beginning with MGS Raiden and ending with Saitama should both belong to that tier despite the vast difference in power, right?

@jucaslucasa: oh, that makes sense. So, say, people like Aquaman, Saitama and Iron Man (first three people that got into my mind) belong to high tier, not the mid tier, right?

@toratorn: It depends on how you rate them. For me, Aquaman and Iron Man are high mid tier. Saitama should be low high tier.

But, I don't consider these definitions very good. There's a lot of things missing.

Saitama definitely outclasses Aquaman so I don't know how he'd be in the same tier let alone, a lower level of the same tier.

There's no universal tiering system that's used everywhere as far as I'm aware. From what I understand, street tops off at Spidey and characters of that pedigree. Afterwards, Mid tier represents everyone from Agent Venom through to Iron Man or even sometimes characters like Naruto depending on who you talk too. High tier is usually guys like Supes and Thor. Herald are characters equal in power to Galactus' Heralds. After that it just gets weird and I don't like it.

Question about tiers (street, mid, herald etc.)

On various sites I've seen various classifications for characters based on their power.

Here I mostly see things like street tier, mid tier, herald/teambuster/skyfather/abstract tier. So the question, what is the full classification? And what characters belong to what tier?

@toratorn:

Seems like the "mid tier" is a very broad definition tho. I mean, characters beginning with MGS Raiden and ending with Saitama should both belong to that tier despite the vast difference in power, right?

@toratorn: It depends on how you rate them. For me, Aquaman and Iron Man are high mid tier. Saitama should be low high tier.

But, I don't consider these definitions very good. There's a lot of things missing.

There's no rule, it's all just each person's opinion on how to group people by power and you get different answers based on who you ask. People still can't agree on what tier spiderman is in.

@toratorn:

@toratorn:

@toratorn: It depends on how you rate them. For me, Aquaman and Iron Man are high mid tier. Saitama should be low high tier.

But, I don't consider these definitions very good. There's a lot of things missing.

Iron-man and Spider-man are f&*%ed up about this.Spider-man is either strongest street level or weakest mid tier ( would say weakest mid-tier). Iron-man is either strongest mid-tier or weakest high-tier (I would say weakest high-tier).

Iron-man and Spider-man are f&*%ed up about this.Spider-man is either strongest street level or weakest mid tier ( would say weakest mid-tier). Iron-man is either strongest mid-tier or weakest high-tier (I would say weakest high-tier).

Saitama definitely outclasses Aquaman so I don't know how he'd be in the same tier let alone, a lower level of the same tier.

Nice answer!

He put Thanos above heraldd tier. But I put Thanos at low skyfather. Besides Odin, I can't think of a skyfather who beats him. Some call people like Thanos, Dorammu, Darkseid "Ascended" tier. Above herald but below skyfather

@kute: not to start shit, but thanos seems too high to just be herald level. he can scrap skyfathers

He put Thanos above heraldd tier. But I put Thanos at low skyfather. Besides Odin, I can't think of a skyfather who beats him. Some call people like Thanos, Dorammu, Darkseid "Ascended" tier. Above herald but below skyfather

Dormammu is stronger than Odin, he's definitely above Skyfather, or at the very least, on that level.

There's no rule, it's all just each person's opinion on how to group people by power and you get different answers based on who you ask. People still can't agree on what tier spiderman is in.

how I see it:

Street level:

Low level:

Beings who are around regular regular athletic human level

Brock lesnar, MMA champs, Black widow (MCU) , Nolan Joker, Nolan Bruce wayne (pre batman)

Mid level:

Peak human - superhuman reaction, above the peak humans lifting ability, striking strength above peak human

Nolan Bane, MCU super soldiers, BP , 616 T'challa , Cap, Bucky , Bruce wayne

Above peak human abilities

Wolverine, BP and deathstroke with gear etc

Mid Tier:

Low level:

Spider-men , Venom , MCU Ant man, MCU war-machine , Reed richards

Bricks:

there are several classifications of both

Low Street: people like Hawkeye, Punisher, Silver Sable, Nightwing, Robin

Mid-Street: Batman,Captain America, Moon Knight

High Street: Gambit, Black Panther, Wolverine, Spider Man

Low Mid-Tier: Agent Venom, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon,

High Mid-Tier: Ms. Marvel, Moonstone, Snowbird

Bricks: Namor, Hercules, Red-Hulk

Low Powerhouse: Iron Man, Blue Marvel ect...

High Powerhouse/Herald Tier: Superman, Gladiator, Silver Surfer, Hulk, Thor

Herald Drifters: (people who arent teambusters but more than Herald) Adam Warlock, Morals Off Surfer, Quasar, Adam Magus

Team Busters: Thanos, Darkseid, Pre 52 Despero, De-powered Tyrant

Skyfather: Odin, Zeus, ect...

Demon Lords, these guys are special because outside of their own dimensions they are much weaker: Nightmare, Mephisto, dormammu, ect

Low Abstract: the Vishanti, Cyttorak, ect...

High Abstract: Death, Oblivion, Infinity ect

Night-Omnipotents/Omnipotent: Pre retcon Beyonder, HoTU Thanos, TOAA ect...

Looking at this list i put blue marvel in Herald Drifters.Hulk would be low powerhouse.Current female Quasar seems to be or i think is higher then herald drifters. She broke that shield around earth.
