HTML5 + local storage + sync with Dropbox
a HTML5 app I'm prototyping relies on a single string. That string is currently stored with localStorage so that it is available when offline.
I would like to sync that string (presumably in a text file) with Dropbox.
When editing the string with the app, it should be uploaded to Dropbox the next time the app is online.
Of course, local storage is no file. I can't save the string to a file without user interaction in a browser as far as I know.
So is there even a way to do that? Sync a string/textfile with dropbox in a HTML5 app and use it when offline?
Thanks!
