It's by far better than all the movies combined honestly. It's not even close... Literally none of the movies has done justice to Peter's character like this game has.

I'd have to agree. The game does more justice for his character than the last four movies that have came out, and that's kinda sad.

Maybe so, Ultimate, PS1 and Web of Shadows are still better from what I've seen tho.

44% through the game. Absoluty amazing so far. The city is so alive and reminds me of Arkham Knight except SM has a lot more people and life to it. The city, swinging, game mechanics and side missions bring so much life to Spiderman as a character and ESPECIALLY the free roam. Never even mind the main story. I love it.

Speaking as someone not well-versed in Spiderman's comic history, I get a feeling that this is his most accurate portrayal som far.

This game has so far, in the surprising little amount of time, done what Netflix Daredevil did; it made me love the character (in SM's case even more so). I truly want to read SM stories now because this game has so much heart, character and development for Spiderman.

I've played that one Spiderman game where you played as Peter and Spiderman 2099, but this is better. I'm inclined to put this game on the same 'tier' of games I've truly enjoyed like Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood/Revelations/Origins, campaign-wise.

Thats not impressive. ANy good superhero game is better than probably the movie.

The game can explore so much more throughout a main story and side mission compared to a 2 hour movie.

@blackspidey2099: I see, watching some stuff on it now, looks neat and I'd play if I had a PS4. I still kinda prefer organic webbing though, abit I know he doesn't have organic webbing originally and that was more the 1st SM movie and I realize that not all spiders don't spin webs, it just seems more convenient for him...and I realize the whole web shooter thing is suppose to show how smart he is but it's not like he couldn't make something else just as good or better, especially since he has.

But I digress, so long as it's not following the movies, I prefer it when games from comic companies have their own take/story. Granted I did have fun with the 1st SM movie game back in PS 2 days, so guilty there....still though. N64 game was fun too.

@gxrevs06: It's much better than AC's as you can quickly and easily move around the city. I liked AC's cities and settings more, but AC's sidemissions were mostly shit while Spiderman's are challenging and fun (I just got off playing and had a boss fight with a 616 street leveller you'd never guess was in the game) as well as surprising. Spiderman's free roam makes you feel like Spiderman, it's insane how good it's free roam is.

GTA's free roam is a lot better though since you can do whatever tf you want to lol

Otto hasn't become a villain yet where I'm up to, but the writers have definitely been taking notes from Walter White in building his character. I really like his character, better than SM2's Otto thus far in my opinion.

Well yeah, I still very much enjoyed Tobey's Spider-Man trilogy as a stand alone movie, even if it's a non-accurate portrayal of Spider-Man.

But this Spider-Man game not only has a very superb storyline, but a very much accurate portrayal of comic Spider-Man.

IMHO it blows all Spidy movies away, it is just that good.

I havent played it yet. Ill probably wait for more DLC to drop, so I can do everything at once,and won't have to replay it again later.

Why? Any form of media/art can be the Pincale. Games are just easier than Movies in this regard especially concerning superheroes

@worldofthunder: yeah I know. Looking at the reviews & comments, it's a Batman: Arkham-level typo shit lol, so yeah, I'm buying it sooner/later. +, Spidey is like my 2nd fav Marvel character so that's a great bonus xD

@amberprice: Yeah bro, the setting, free roam, side missions etc are on Arkham Knight's level which is absoluty insane considering the massive scale of Manhattan.

In terms of game mechanics, combat, free roam, side missions, basically everything barring main story: Arkham Knight and Spiderman are about equal to me. In terms of story mode, campaign and the feeling of actually being the main character: Arkham Asylum = Arkham City >= Spiderman. Overall: City >= Asylum > Spiderman > Arkham Knight > Origins.

It's a banger for Spiderman. 10/10 recommended
