@kirkseven: She kept up with and out maneuvered a bloodlusted Luke Cage just fine (he was mind controlled), who himself scales from bullet timers. I don't think shell have a trouble keeping up with M'Baku speed-wise.

She reacted to, grabbed and threw a speedster that tried to sneak up behind her.

Go watch a few go pro vids on youtube. Whizzer is not that fast. Also he disapeared right from Jessica's view and she barely blocked a tissue box. Hell Jess could keep up with him fine on foot.

1. Luke was mind controlled.

2. He was constantly fighting that mind control. Meaning that quite simply, he wasn't thinking. Just mindlessly attacking.

3. Dodging an impaired out of practice Luke does not equate to fighting a Luke who has spent nearly a year every night out fighting and who has had a power boost.

Jess gets one shot by M'baku.

I just started Jessica Jones season 2 so I will wait and see.

I just saw that episode recently. He stopped to get her attention and than Jess threw him.

Its not much of a reaction feat.

This is an exaggeration. M'baku does lack speed feats but he is a fodder wrecker.

He's competent enough to fight border tribe members without getting touched. Border tribe members were shown defeating outriders during infinity war so there not that bad as far as fodder goes.

By H2H, I meant without the club. I mean, T'challa who was depowered still hit him with incredibly slow and weak punched, along with other examples.

@jashro44: He stopped when Jess grabbed him. Furthermore when Whizzer tried escaping on foot, Jessica chased him and stayed within his parameters. She never lost track of him and was always right behind him.

So Jessica's pretty fast when she needs to be.

It looks to me like he ran up to her. It wouldn't make sense in context as Whizzer did not show up to beat Jessica up. He wanted help.

T'challa beating M'baku is a feat for him. I don't know how you are gauging the force of his strikes by looking at them. As for speed they were fighting in water so its not easy to move around in water. That and in general we shouldn't judge combat speed based on aesthetics. They can be very misleading.

I personally think it's pretty clear he stopped when she grabbed him.

I haven’t watched JJS2 but with her feats against the speedster this seems like a lock. The only thing that keeps M’Baku in this is his Jabari wood club IMO. He’s obviously outstated by Jessica across the board while she retains her smaller and more maneuverable body.

@anthp2000: @angeljax: @amendment50:Rewatching the scene frame by frame it does seem like she did react to him. With that said the fact that Jess could keep pace with him on a foot would suggest he probably isn't that fast for a speedster. Jessica herself clearly can't run at super speed.

Watch the clip closely. Jess hears him coming and turns with her hand already raised and he runs into it. She guessed and got lucky. Even when Whizzer started right in front of her Jess could not track him

Again, in the same clip, he disappears right from under her view. Consistently. So clearly she can't perceive him. Let alone do anything about it.

Also note her saying "Oh you actually are fast". As in she didn't even believe he was superhuman until then. In other words. He wasn't going that fast at all down the hallway.

When we reach the point of analyzing frames and breaking it down in slow motion, we’re thinking about it too much. Jess was given good showings against a speedster, when her opponent doesn’t have ANY speed feats it’s really as simple as that.

Jessica whoops him. She evaded strikes from Luke, who scales from bullet-timers and tanked his hits who physically superior to herself.

@creolecuddy: Out of practice, impaired and pre-power boost JJS1 Luke does not equate to unimpaired, power boosted, experienced from a year of constant fighting LCS2 Luke.

Yeah, but the "Power Boost" only amped his durability and strength at least according to Claire "It strengthened your Elastic Cells." Not enough ev. suggest it amp speed..

@creolecuddy: It honestly never really suggested a strength amp either. The enhancement of his cells increased his durability. Those who claim Luke received an overall amp is stats is proabably just catering to their headcanon.

Also people reach a new level of downplay of Jessica's feat against Luke every year lol.
