Replace items in ArrayAdapter dynamically doesnt work

I'm using AutoCompleteTextView to show items which can be selected by user. If user type something, it will send substring to server and server will return list of objects. I want to replace ArrayAdapter list with this new list, that means new list of options will appear in dropdown menu. But as I clear list and add all elements from new list into it and then I call notifyDataSetChanged(), there are 0 items in ArrayAdapter (used ArrayAdapter.count).

Instead of modifyingitemEntityList.clear();itemEntityList.addAll(revObjects);you need to use developer.android.com/reference/android/widget/… afterobjAdapter?.clear()
