So I was just thinking about the BFR to the sun argument and how strange couldn't get stark, Peter, and himself home from Ebony maw's ship, but I remembered that I didn't see a sling ring on his finger. If I missed it please show me, but my current theory is that strange can't teleport too far without the sling ring. If you have a pic of Strange using the sling ring in IW I'd appreciate it

I think the Sling ring only works on earth and you can only use it to teleport to places still on the planet. He had the ring tho.

Probably has to do with ley lines on any planet he's on, or something like that.

Rewatched doctor strange recently, they state in the movie it can teleport you anywhere in the cosmos. Or something to that affect.

Well he was clearly able to use it on Titan when working with his allies against Thanos. Maybe it has a certain range or something. I remember Dr Strange asking Stark if he was capable of turning the spaceship around. I don’t know why he’d ask this if he could just sling ring them all home in an instant. The guy is very far from being an idiot.

I'm guessing he asked that to forward the plot of Stark wanting to bring the fight to Thanos. Maybe it's the range thing too. Or another guess is that they had to be stationary to use a sling ring portal, that ship was moving at a very fast speed.
