Is Scorpion pre or post Hanzo ?

Scorpion as he is at the end of the game, so he is Hanzo. He's more experienced and knows when/how to use his hellfire more post-Hanzo.

In both cases i say he takes it but it won't be easy.

@consolemaster001: Nope he can still use them while he's human. His face sometimes turns into a skull again when he uses his hellfire abilities. He refrains from using it as much because he views it as a curse, but will use it as much as he has to when it comes down to a fight as evident in his fight against possessed Sub-Zero and Raiden.

Hanzo and Scorpion have a Dan Ketch/Ghost Rider type relationship, when Hanzo gets angry he is consumed in hellfire and his outfit changes into Scorpions including the skull face and his speech bubble changes on panel to reinforce this. So I think this fight has the potential to be very interesting, Cap has so many more feats it isn't funny but I feel like Scorpion is in Caps league, I'm going to give this some consideration before picking the winner as I don't want to let my inner MK fanboy take over.

Both of them are strong, fast, plenty durable, Cap knows more martial arts but Scorpion has likely faced off against nearly every martial art you can imagine through constant tournament fighting, both have a warrior background on the battlefield, reaction time is a hard thing to pin down in the MK verse but if you look at this clip start at 9:08 mark, Hanzo was having tea with Sub Zero and talking, not expecting any attack, he sensed it and reacted in time to not get frozen, also he was able to with a single sword fight off D'vorah's tentacles which strike several times per second.

It's also worth noting that he wasn't using hellfire in the game storymode that I remember, but in the comics it shows he is clearly more powerful as Scorpion and soaks some downright ridiculous damage, and has some quite versatile abilities aside from teleportation.

@devil_driver: In regards to the instance where he dodged the attack while talking to Sub-Zero, Hanzo saw Frost's reflection on the tea cup.

by MKX Scorpion is probably at minimum 50 years old, although being resurrected multiple times and being a servant of Quan Chi has reduced how much he has aged.

@bobthened: Steve isn't exactly a young man himself and I don't think there is an experience edge on either side to the degree where it would tip the balance in a one on one encounter. Having said that if I had to pick someone to lead Earthrealm forces against an outworld invasion, I would want it to be Cap, and I say that as a huge MK fan.

@devil_driver: True he is not young, yet he was asleep for like 70 years so the time he slept doesn't count lmao.

If Scorpion doesn't have his hellfire powers this would be a really close fight, both are close in combat skill and physical abilities. Scorpion has punched holes into people's skull and chest in the past so he should be superhumanly strong as well. Scorpion is one tough mofo too, he took D'vorah's blade right through his chest and got up a second later. Both do as well use their own kind of weapons set, though I have to say Scorpions is more deadly as he use chains with blades on and swords. And he is pretty damn accurate with that chain as well...

Possibly stalemate without powers ^

With hellfire powers is another story though, as Scorpion could just teleport kill Steven or melt him with flames he should stomp.
