Given that Wally is the Flash i grew up with, i'd say him.

Wally is the better character.

Barry. Wally isn't anywhere near as interesting as his fans think.

Wally will always be the fastest (Or should be) but Barry will always be the best depiction of who and what the Flash is supposed to be even when he was bad he was what held All generations of the Flash family, After and Prior together and unlike Wally the dude has a save the world mentality which I find really interesting. Wally would give up being the Flash for his family, Barry, on the other hand, will always love his family but he has a sense of duty that the world needs him even if it sacrifices time with his family, and I don't mean that in a Basic Batman way whose always acting like he doesn't NEED to be out of the suit but Barry honestly would rather find a compromise for the safety of the world and his family unlike characters like Wally, Peter Parker, etc.

Its actually really interesting to me at least, He's not like Superman where he was born with great powers and feels the responsibility to do so but he does it because he's a good man without the tragedy his fellow leaguers possess, people call Barry boring all the time but only because Silver Age all heroes were boring and modern-day Wally is as about as interesting as any other characters. I give wally props because he and Dick are the only Titans to consistently be able to grow out of the shadows of their mentors but Wally is the great character he is because of Barry and that alone makes him a great character, They're are not many heroes with sidekicks who pushed their sidekicks to be better than them and NEVER had to be a dick to do it ( Like Bruce)

Mini Rant is over but Barry Allen is a great character who is looked down on for not "Evolving" like wally but that argument makes no sense when Wally himself needed to evolve as a character, from being a hotheaded sidekick to a great Hero and again the fact that Barry Allen is the reason he could become one of the greatest heroes alive speaks volumes to why I personally love Barry.

Of course, this is all my opinion so :P

Unless specified always assume the threads mean Red Head Wally, if they mean Black wally they will either call him Wallace, Black Wally, or Current Kid Flash

Barry slighlty. My opinion on which I prefer changes regularly though.

Wally no question. He was the Flash I grew up with and can relate with the most.

@stormshadow_x: Superman doesn't help people out of a feeling of responsibility(he'snot Spiderman), he's naturally a good person, so he helps because that's who he is.

Also officially referring to the Wallys as "Strawberry Wally" and "Chocolate Wally"

Don't even get me started on his relationship with his villains. Barry has so much more chemistry with the Flash Rouge's gallery its not funny from Grodd to the rouges, not counting the reverse Flash because they both have their own, but Barry and Eobard imo is a better hero vs villain relationship than Wally and Hunter

Also when I look at characters I also look at there costume designs as well and I heavily prefer Barry's classic and New 52 over Wally Post Crisis suit, too dark and the white eyes didn't look "Flash" to me but thatsminor compared to my thoughts on the character's personality and traits.

Let me rephrase, He is a good person and does help out of being just that great of a guy but his is much more "fate" in a way he was born to do it and change the world and he has the ability to do it. Barry isn't really going to lead humanity into a brighter future, thats not the kind of hero he is but he still feels he HAS to be a hero even amongst all of these other heroes he still feels like if he can help a bit as the fastest man alive he will.

Wally because he was in Teen Titans and had the best Flash run.

Grew up with Wally as my Flash while Barry was dead so...
