Background Info

Ethan Hunt is a senior field operations agent for the Impossible Mission Force, an elite, top-secret espionage and covert operations agency that handles dangerous and highly sensitive international missions.

- He is described as a tough, uniquely trained and highly motivated individual, who is a great expert without any equal, and described as immune to any countermeasures. He is depicted as an individual who is able to extract any secret data, to breach any security system, and able to become any person in the world easily via the latex masks provided by the IMF.

- He is also incredibly intelligent, and almost recklessly daring in his missions. He is highly cunning and extremely astute and calculating, especially when it comes to knowing his enemies. He is highly idealistic and devises philosophical traps during debates.

Physical Dexterity

• While stealing a NOC list from CIA HQ , Hunt is able to stay in this position for several minutes, knowing that he can´t touch the floor

• In the same mission, any sound louder than a whisper and a drop of water touching the floor will activate the alarm. Ethan has the awareness to catch his own drops of sweat.

• Ethan does rock climbing and jumping without any safety measures.

• But of course he is not perfect, and while falling, he manages to save himself with both hands. And proceeds to hang with one hand only.

• Running downwards the freaking Burj Khalifa

• The madman then runs sideways and calculates when to jump and release himself. He nearly pulls it off but he is saved by Brandt and Jane Carter

• While escaping with the help of Ilsa Faust, Ethan does a dragon plank-esque escape from the pole.

• Escapes the inside of a truck before being hit by a missile.

Durability/Pain Endurance/Resistance

• Gets hit by a speeding car, but is skilled and durable enough to take the hit, and get a grip on the vehicle, and not falling.

• Drives a car through a several feet fall and crashes frontally.

But he is fine enough to save the world, with the help of his team, of course

• Running, lots of running , some instances for several minutes without getting seemingly tired.

• Holds onto a door of a plane already in flight , dude´s crazy.

Special Skills

• Ethan is able to lip read two guys that were after him, therefore escaping.

Marksmanship

• Takes down a mini plane (dunno how to call it) with a G36

Fighting Skills

• Disarms 2 agents at very close range, then proceeds to throw them away

• Knocks out 2 guards with 2 strikes while escaping a prision in Russia.

• Manages to escape and beat 3 CIA/IMF agents while tied to a stretcher

• Avoids getting shot with two kicks, then disarms henchmen and then uses his gun to shoot another.

• Remains untouched while disarming and beating 2 henchmen with knives.

• In the same instance, 2 more henchmen attack him and he evades and disarms then, and the White Widow helps him kill the last one.

More lip reading

• Here he reads his wife's and the other ladies' lips from far away. Implied by the ladies' comments afterwards, he was supposed to be too far away to have actually heard the convo during a party.

• Here he does more lip reading. Unfortunately, this video doesn't show the caption of what was being said.

Photographic Memory (or at least some degree of it)

• Ethan sees a guy for a couple of seconds (at this point, he doesn't know he's the bad guy yet). Then he is able to draw an image of him from memory in mere seconds on his hand.

• In a previous scene, Ethan Hunt opens a ledger that contains numerous numbered accounts. He memorized the entire list to blackmail Solomon Lane.
