God the manga has some crazy asspulls. Now Master Roshi is dodging Jiren's attacks and Gohan is strong enough to take Kefla out on his own. Yeah sure Roshi takes Buuhan why the f not.

Roshi should never, ever be a threat to Buu regardless of how much he trains. But Super apparently is the picture definition of Garbage so Roshi wins

It’s even explained as him showing goku there is more to fighting than strength. He’s got the moves

@scotchbear: It’s an extremely high end feat that is inconsistent with what the character is typically shown to be capable of, that’s what an outlier is. Is Roshi typically shown to compete with God tiers? Do we want to say that Batman can beat The Spectre? Or that Captain America can go toe to toe with the Hulk?

It’s still an outlier and it still does nothing to help him beat Boohan unless he has gear.

We have no way of telling how strong he is. It’s been like 40 years canon time since he last fought.

Roshi lacking feats means that he went from being weaker than King Piccolo to GoD tier by doing virtually nothing, all for one short scene where Goku learns one more thing from his old master that helps him achieve UI. Do you not realize how contrived that is? You’re trying to justify bad writing.

Show me Roshi consistently operating on that level prior to his Jiren fight. Or hell, let’s see if he does this again with Broli. Until then it’s an outlier.

Roshi stomps. He was literally making sport of Jiren and dancing around his attacks. Even Whis said what he was dong was akin to UI. Also, it doesn't matter what he has done before. He's on this level now, If he goes back to his previous level, then you can start calling it an outlier

Yes it’s dumb, buts it’s shown clear as day, with several characters confirming what’s going on.

This is the same series that made 17 go from ssj tier to ssb tier by being a conservation officer.

Db doesn’t care about consistency or powerscaling.

An AOE attack or keep making Roshi dodge until he gets tired and messes up.

All Roshi can do is dodge, he is still weaker than 18 or Piccolo and he can't put Buu down.
