So I've come to realize about myself that when I read comics and manga.... I'm usually always reading action. For some reason I can watch different types of movies and TV, but when it comes to anime and manga I only really watch all the action stuff....

So...... what do you think? Are there any good non-action anime you guys wanna recommend me to check out?

I'm open to a lot of stuff so just give me the names of some of your favorites!! :p

Anything made by Inio Asano. Yes, even that one where two middle schoolers get into a toxic sexual relationship to get over their adolescent outcast problems.

Masaaki Yuasa's "The Night is Short, Walk On, Girl" and "The Tatami Galaxy"

Oyasumi Punpun is the best non-action manga in my opinion. I'd also like to nominate 20th Century Boys, as that is quite the fantastic series as well.

Way too big a list. I'm assuming you're referring to anime where action is a minor aspect and not anime where it is completely devoid.

Extra curicular based anime: Kuroko no basket, Shokugeki no souma, Haikyuu.

Psychological: Oregairu, Monster, Kami-sama no memochou, Death Note.

Thriller: Steins Gate, Zankyou no terror, Re:Zero, Boku dake ga inai machi.

Just some of the best IMO

Serial Experiments Lain is glorious if it suits your tastes. God help you if it doesn't and try to watch it anyway.

Most Studio Ghibli films aren't big on action, either.

Psycho Pass, Steins;Gate, Haikyuu/Kuroko, Assassination Classroom (admittedly this one's a bit of a stretch but it's primarily a comedy), i could go on really, but all of these are glorious stuff.

Steins;Gate without a doubt. TBH I think that's one of my favorites too.

Psycho Pass - pretentious again and got even worse with the 2nd season. Ghost in the Shell was far superior.

Kuroko - a battle shonen but with basketball

Zankyou no terror - pretentious and one of Watanabe's worst work. Only watch if you want to see a dumb show that looks really pretty with great animation, voice acting and music but nothing else
