I've installed Debian/GNU linux as Windows subsystem from the windows' store (It works).
I also installed netcat "sudo apt-get install netcat" (successfully installed) but it seems not to work:

Bash1

nc -l 5004 >> filename.out

Bash2

~: echo "tester" | nc 192.168.0.10 5004

(UNKNOWN) [192.168.0.10] 5004 (?) : Connection refused

I'm sure 192....10 is my right ip. I checked with "ip a".

Is someone able to give me an hint?
I've found nothing about on docs section of Microsoft

  • I resolved this by myself: you have to explicit a rule in windows firewall to open the port.
