Can anyone help me to convert the tag to echo?

Not sure what you are asking but it would be better just to echo the-o
only since the rest appears to be identical:<i class="fa fa-thumbs<?php if(!userLiked($row['ID'],$tempUserID)) echo '-o' ?>-up like-btn" style="font-size:36px" data-id="<?php echo $row['ID']?>" data-user="<?php echo $tempUserID ?>"></i>
