I am trying to house all of my filters inside a modal (for appearance purposes) but it isn't acting as I would expect.

1. Initially the graph doesn't take it's value until the modal is called


2. The modal doesn't save the current state so when I open the modal again, all inputs go back to their original starting values

Below is a sample code that compares the two methods (normal filter in sidebar and filter in modal). Play around with the modal and see:

1. Initially the graph on the right doesn't appear until you open the "Filter" button


2. If you select anything but 30, close out of the modal, open the modal back up. It goes back to the default of 30.
