No, it won't. Height is basically determined just by two things: genetics and diet (milk, meat, eggs etc.etc). If your father and grandfather weren't tall then you won't be most likely either. Every bodybuilder would tell that everything that matters about physique is genetics, genetics and genetics. How tall are you btw?

Not really, working out a lot will encourage a slightly increased release of growth hormone but it's basically negligible. As I understand it your height is determined 95% by your genetics, 4% your posture and 1% other, that 'other' will include what you eat and exercise.

How tall do you want to be? At your age you could hit 178-180 cms just from natural growth assuming you didn't hit puberty early. Yoga or other aerobic exercise is the best thing you can do for gaining height.

@simppa: If you workout with/without weights doing high repetitions while avoiding too heavy weights and avoid straining yourself you'll increase your natural HGH and Testosterone levels. This will result in you growing taller than you were supposed to be. Working out with heavy weights and straining yourself will result in you potentially stunting your growth.

My old brother just worked out to get ripped, ran a ton, and ate super healthy and he's 6'3. I on the other hand, was very competitive and lifted so much just so I could say I was stronger, but this really hurt me because I wasn't really hitting high reps and I didn't maximize my test/HGH levels so I'm now 5'11

just run a lot and lift with high reps

That's actually great. I am 21 and my height measurements range from 174-177cm :D With a bit of luck you will be around 6 feet which is around 181 cm by the time you turn 18 which is for male probably the best height.

The Average Viner doesn't need to exercise to have 12 black belts, Olympic athlete physique, marine experience and a girlfriend.

That said, for normal people like you; no type of exercise helps you gain height in a litteral sense, that much is a myth. All SOME types of exercise can do is "add" some inches because your body will be in a proper, straight line, aka. you'll be able to stand properly, and that will make you look marginally taller.

The Average Viner doesn't need to exercise to have 12 black belts, Olympic athlete physique, marine experience and a girlfriend.

That said, for normal people like you; no type of exercise helps you gain height in a litteral sense, that much is a myth. All SOME types of exercise can do is "add" some inches because your body will be in a proper, straight line, aka. you'll be able to stand properly, and that will make you look marginally taller.

Not really. Even if it does have any effect, it's quite negligible.
