Taking more time when matching the rules in Drools with more threads
Problem: Drools is taking more time to find matching rules when there are more number of threads.
Setup: In drl file we have 10K rules. We are using 100 threads (one session per thread) and sending 100 requests per second. Tested on EC2 instance with instance type, c5.9xlarge (36 vCPU and 72GB memory).
While running the test for 1000 requests, we observe that execution time to insert the fact and fireAllRules is around 100 to 250 ms for each request.
Our benchmark for execution of finding the matching rules not to exceed 40 milli seconds. Can we accomplish this execution time using Drools?
Could you please suggest any recommendation to improve the execution time?
