@vitisid:

Krayt performed similarly to luke against Abeloth, but honestly i do not think it is enough to label him as GM Luke's nigh equal. He lacks other feats on that level. Taalon, on the contrary, gave Luke hell in a direct fight against the latter.

@richard96 I'm also very undecided on this topic, but didn't Krayt move his hand so fast that Luke couldn't unleash a Force attack ?

Also wasn't Krayt considered as counterpart of GM Luke on the Throne of Balance? Or did I misinterpret this quote?

He was the Sith Lord who would have restored the sith order, bringing balance to the force between dark and light, but from here to say he is a perfect equal of GM Luke there is difference, IMO. Krayt created a new Sith order, with no rule of the two, and hence a lot of new Sith, not only him and his apprentice, balanced the force.

I think it was that part, where Abeloth shrank so tiny, that Luke thought Krayt was going to attack him. And before Luke could even do something, Krayt pointed to Abeloth.

Luke threw up his hand, intending to strangle the stranger. But before he could unleash the attack, the feet of the Sith pierced the surface of the water, and he raised his stump to point to the other end of the lake.

Although I still have no context, but better than nothing (I have found that on a German page).

Uhm, I'm not sure why you think it's surprising that Krayt is as fast as Luke. That's abundantly clear from the entire fight.

That's a really strange hangup to have.

Reminds me of the days of micro-analysing certain hyperbolic phrases authors used and then mathematically picking them apart to decide which character is faster. "X killed 5 people in the flicker of an eyelash, which is faster than a heartbeat!!!"

Like, what part of the Apocalypse fight showed Krayt to be anything less than Luke's equal? What sentence was it I missed where it was made obvious Luke was faster, stronger or more powerful?

Taalon obviously creams.

What Krayt could achieve in Beyond Shadows was his raw power uninhibited by his physical ailments, though obviously his post-death incarnation enjoyed more power growth.

More importantly, the context of that fight is decidedly favorable for Krayt, who had enjoyed the advantage of draining both Luke and Abeloth. Obviously, that means this wasn't your typical scenario, from which one could draw easy conclusions from.

@vitisid:

@richard96

But isn’t GM Luke the most powerful force user ever? If a pre prime Krayt is already his equal, Reborn Krayt would be the most powerful force user ever.

@vitisid:

"No one whose help you want," Jacen said. "That's the dark man I saw on the Throne of Balance.”

I appreciate the effort. Interesting point. I would like to hear what @i_like_swords says about this. FOTJ Krayt is really as fast as or faster than GM Luke?

@i_like_swords:

But isn’t GM Luke the most powerful force user ever? If a pre prime Krayt is already his equal, Reborn Krayt would be the most powerful force user ever.
