Cool battle - don't know why I've never thought of this one before.

Joker Arata could seriously swing things in Juuzou's favour; he outright blitzed an incomplete-kakuja Kurona, and Abara couldn't even follow her movements in base.

I'll have to read through Kaneki's Black Reaper run again and then make a decision.

@valor_175: I think if it happens in the manga, Suzuya will likely freeze up or at the very least hold back. He's a lot more empathetic these days and he has always had a soft spot for Sasaki.

@eternalgrandmaster: He did have Hanbee there though, and we still haven't got the full picture of what happened. A couple of popular theories are that somebody else (possibly Dragon, but I don't buy that) blindsided Ken. It may not have just been Juuzou and Abara.

Juuzou asks "How?" on panel after the fight, which could possibly mean he doesn't exactly know what it was that took Kaneki out. I guess we'll have to see next week.

In any case, I do think this is a great fight. Ken was well fed and in great shape at this point, but he wasn't as strong as current (well, current and fed) Ken. In the Arata armour, Juuzou is a goddamn beast. He honestly is probably faster than base Ken when wearing it. If Ken doesn't go Kakuja soon enough, he has a decent chance of losing IMO.

without Arata? it's likely kaneki would win

@mrkulci: Juuzou had Hanbee’s backup in that fight, and Ken was so starved he couldn’t regenerate. At least as Black Reaper he was able to heal to an extent.
