Eh, I'm still keeping an open mind. I think it might surprise everyone.

@rbt: probably. If DC brings back Teen Titans (the original cartoon) then I really don't see the problem with them doing things different in live action.

I had high hopes for a Nightwing series, but now I can only hope for a WODC movie. This looks unfortunately similar to low-budget superhero shows like Arrow.

I don't really care about different, tbh. As long its good, I'll be fine. CGI also needs to be good though.

@anthp2000: dunno the costumes for the street level heroes (Robin Grayson, Robin Todd, Hawk & Dove) look awesome and the snippets we've seen of the fight choreography look good too.

@rbt: yeah I agree about cgi. Personally I like Raven's. Starfire and Beastboy need A LOT of work.

We saw very little of CGI in the trailer. Doing Starfire's fight scene will be pretty CGI heavy. Hopefully, they nail at least one aspect of her. The series will certainly lead to Trigon, who will also be a CGI heavy character(though they might do practical effects for him).

Say what you will about how Titans as a whole looks so far, but those images are awesome.

I like everything the actor says about Jason Todd... but from the first trailer I already know it won't matter. The show is going to suck.

@rbt: Robin looks great, BB would look alright if he was green, unless they gonna do that with CGI or paint(kinda wish he was a little older in 17/18, but maybe he is than what he appears to be). The other 2 I just...I don't get.

@wolfrazer: I mean if you cover raven in a hood and cloak similar to Tyrone from Cloak and dagger she's gonna be ok

The stills released kinda eases my mind.

Yeah, Starfire still looks wrong, but the rest seems to be just fine. The people who have costumes look good, and the outfits look suitably functional. Raven looks good because it seems she's homeless and everything she owns is in that backpack of hers.

Garfield... well I want to admit that considering in comics and cartoons he is always green, he's strange in the way that it never actually seems to affect him the slightest. It's a non-issue, which I find odd in this world of ours where skin-color has such a huge impact. So him not being green while in human form, thats fine, means there is no plans to make it into a thing. And if his animal forms are still green, then nothing has been lost... what makes the character great has always been his sense of humor, the animals and occasional dip into gut-punching tragedy.

@outside_85: I mean Garfield being green is a big part of his character, so him not being green only in human form is a little jarring.

I know it's a big part of his visual character. But the effect of him being green has never really been a thing... kinda like no one ever cared or noticed Starfire is orange.

^Well there have been so many things going with this particular incarnation of Starfire, her being orange or not is the least of them lol

Really hope this is just something she wears on the first episode. And not just her.

I have to say that bringing Starfire to the screen was always always going to be problematic if you went anywhere near Perez's original design. since her outfit was barely just a couple of strings covering the naughtiest bits, doing that would set off alarms, PC people, women advocates, and conservative puritans.

But to be honest, my thoughts are that Kori arrives on Earth, like the cartoon and comics she is confused by how humans behave, and some nasty people are quick to try and exploit it, which in part is why she dresses like we've seen her so far and her hero outfit is something different all together. I wont say I understand DC or WB in the choice to not show or tease that outfit, but they can't hit every promotional campaign out of the park.

On the choice of her skincolor however... well I imagine there is a cost issue to consider when you have to paint her orange for every shoot. But on the other hand, I would also say there is some (pseudo)scientific merit, as some has pointed out that dark skin is better at absorbing UV/sun-radiation than pale skin, so making both Tamaranians and Kryptonians black makes scientific sense.
