backing up artifactory using amanda

Has anyone tried backing up artifactory using amanda? I was thinking I would have an artifactory cron job to generate backups and install the amanda client into my artifactory container (I use pro 6.5.2 onsite in docker). I would offset the two jobs by many hours and I would set the artifactory backup to keep 4 or 5 backups just in case amanda kicked in during an artifactory backup.
I guess the big question is, does anyone have experience installed additional software into an artifactory pro docker container? Is this likely to cause issues?
FYI, I am only backing up a couple repos as everything else is trivial to reproduce.
