Query String to refresh gridview on the same page

0

i know this question has probably already been asked but i cant find a solution to my generic problem. So i have a gridview and a dropdown list, if i select a product from the dropdownlist the page postbacks and displays the selected product. Now i can only find solutions where they are passing in a query string to another page. can anybody help?

I believe my code is correct but its not working when i put into the browser and i am not even getting an error when i type in anything different than the normal aspx?Product=g120c

 protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
if (!IsPostBack)

if (DDLProduct.Items.Count == 0)

BindDropDownList();

if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(Request.QueryString["Product"]))

DDLProduct.SelectedValue = Request.QueryString["Product"];

    Can you more clearly state what the desired functionality is, and what is not working?
