Sinse Disney has been focusing on CGI movies these days, what movies did you like better, The 2d traditional hand drawn animation or the CGI movies. What style was you'er most prefered animation.

Going to be honest, I prefer most of the characters (especially the animals, they looked gorgeous in the 2016 Jungle Book movie) and scenery to be computer-generated as it looks nicer, but 2D holds a special place in my heart due to nostalgia.

It's hard to choose. CGI is the current and future of Disney animation, but some of my very favorite Disney movies are traditional cel-animation. Of my Top-5 Disney animated movies, only two are CGI, however they are my number one and number two. Having said this, though what it really comes down to is the story and characters. Several of the Pixar sequels range from mediocre to horrible, so a good film requires more than just spiffy graphics and CGI won't save a bad film from continuing to be bad (I'm looking at you, Transformers franchise!) Today, CG is used in traditional 2D animation, so it's harder to separate the two artforms, as well. What I want most of all is for an animated film or film short to entertain, and maybe even move me a bit.

And while we're on the subject, let's not forget how great a good stop-motion animated movie can look.

2D. I don't like the uncanny valley from the 3D animation.

Plus, I think hand-drawn animation can be quite beautiful.

Never saw the Jungle Book or Moana, but maybe 2D for me so far since more cartoonish effects can be played out. The 3d could be good for the non-cartoon parts I guess.

Classic 2D Disney movies were not afraid to have death and dark themes. these days the politically correct clean CGI movies try too hard to copy Dreamworks movies.

Even though CGI animation is much better, I think the movies themselves were better back in the days of 2D. The only true masterpiece they've made since transitioning to CGI is Zootopia. Big Hero 6 and Wreck it Ralph were pretty good, Moana was okay, Frozen and Tangled were just bad.

They had several masterpieces back in their 2D days; The Lion King, Aladdin, Hercules, The Little Mermaid, etc.

Never saw the Jungle Book or Moana, but maybe 2D for me so far since more cartoonish effects can be played out. The 3d could be good for the non-cartoon parts I guess.

Disneys recent CGI movies are so clean and way too politically correct.

It's a shame!

2D, since most of my favorites are still those. This is very likely to change as Disney releases more 3D films, though.

2d since in twenty years I will look back and see that the cgi animation has not hold up. While the 2d animation already stood the test of time. Also not including pixar animation.

Classic 2D Disney movies were not afraid to have death and dark themes. these days the politically correct clean CGI movies try too hard to copy Dreamworks movies.

Disney's 2D Animation films are also more mature and less politically correct.

Both have had exceptional productions, so I don't mind the style, just the story.
