At the end of the Emerald arc, the pokedex holders have an off screen tournament, out of this tournament we have a winner and the winner the winner is emerald. (IMO it was because it was important for the story for him to win)

anyway this fight was was 2v2 battle and we don't even know who used what

my question is that

(the name that can't be seen is Red)

if it was a 6v6 tournamen, using only the feats of gens 1-3 for all character (red/blue, Yello, gold/silver, crystal, ruby/sapphire, fire red/leaf green and emerald arcs only) who would win each battle? and why?

If Red is in the battle, I feel as if Red would win. If Red isn't, I'd place my money on Blue or Silver.

Red is the easy answer, Silver and Blue are strong contenders. Green could end up trolling everyone too...

you see red when red fought blue in the pokemon league he wasn't in his prime and he still won just by tactics even though he had type disadvantage.

not only that red is the only one who has officially defeated an elite four and he also was able to beat and stood in equal grounds with Giovanni and was worthy in mewtwo's eyes to be it's trainer.

he is the fighter and others just don't stand much chance (not counting platinum,black etc).

only people that can give him a fight are blue ,silver and ruby (if he is serious). probably gold too since he has trained with red.

and know this there are lot of reasons emerald won the contest because

he had plot armor and pis

he was even losing to ruby and only won because ruby had type disadvantage,wasn't serious and most importantly as shown in ruby shappire chapter he doesn't always wants to fight.

and also you have to take another factor into account that is during that contest red and co weren't at their prime since they remained as statues for quite a while.

so by feats red will definitely win.

between green and crystal green will win (if we are counting gen 1-3 only if not it could go either way)

then red will beat both green and blue.

between yellow and emerald emerald will win.

between gold and sapphire gold will win in a good match ( because he is more experienced and has trained with red).

between gold and silver it could go either way and whoever is the winner will beat emerald but will ultimately lose to red.

Is there any adequate way to compare them?

@highaccuser: like every character you compare them by feats,strategy, weaknesses etc

The problem is the managverse is too underdeveloped for there to be common standards or opponents. Like we have no idea how good Gym Leaders and such are meant to be. So we'd have to compare teams I guess.

They are fighting many nameless people and random pokemon but many times we see people fighting more than once and than you can see their powers lvl

Anyway what needed here is to compare the feats of the Pokémons, training strategy skills and whatever else you think matters

Im kinda casual pokemon game player of old, but wth is this? Are these characters with feats and accomplishments, or just comparing Pokemon teams in the games they are shown to have as rivals? How do you know which character has what team even when the games you can catch and use any pokemon?

pretty simple my friend, there are many mangas for Pokemon, while the most known and succesful one is "Pokemon Adventures" or in it's other name "Pokemon Special"

in there, each of those trainer has his own accomplishments, back-stories, goals, battle style and of-course, team

I defently recomand you to give it a try if you like the franchise
