Quasar's thing is energy drainning and shields - there are few better suited to fight with Kryptonians than him. In Annihilators, when he Ronan and Surfer were going to manipulate whoel star, Surfer gived only his Cosmic Awareness to Ronan and it was all on Quasar's energy supply to do it.

Gladiator and BRB have better feats and Nova's shields took Galactus Rage.

All above when we forgot what Surfer can do and what he does.
