Newer for me. DOFP is still my all time X favorite. Even above X2.

Well, to rank the movies i'd do:

Logan > DOFP = First Class > X2 > X-Men > Apocalypse > The Wolverine > Last Stand > Origns.... So probably the prequel trilogy...

Wow, all three have a crap movie, an above average movie, and then a great movie. Weird...

Go with the OG I guess, though Logan is still GOAT among X-Men movies.

Why is wolverine origins hated so much?

@deathstroke512: no idea! Maybe because Deadpool was so horrible but the movie wasn’t THAT bad. I think Logan is overrated as well.

The newer trilogy

With Apocalypse while still being flawed being better than The Last Stand. DOFP is honestly second only to Logan as one of the best Xmen films, tons of great dialogue between Fassbender and Macavoy that call back to the OT. First Class going into the backstory and being far less of a Wolverine promo/coming after with better CGI/, effects, and a much more expanded role of Magneto make it better to me than X1.

CBR has rated Logan as best film of 18 years of Fox X-Men as ranked by critics with the bottom line movies that includes X-Men Origins Wolverine and X-Men Apocalypse .......

My Rankings

Logan>DOFP>X-First>=X-Men>X2>XOW >all other x-men movies

Funnily enough all the trilogies are basically the same in that they each have a terrible (X3, Apocalypse, Origins), pretty good (X1, DOFP, The Wolverine), and exceptional (X2, First Class, Logan) movie, so they're all pretty much even in my mind, but First Class is my favourite movie overall so I'll say the newer trilogy.

Original trilogy for me. X1 and 2 were great and unlike most I liked the Last Stand, even though yeah it wasn't as good. From the newer trilogy, I only really liked DoFP. The other two were meh. As for Wolverine, while the last two were good, Origins was just a mess.

First Class and DOFP wins it for the Prequel Trilogy.

First Class and DOFP are better than any other X Men movie.

Apocalypse is also pretty good even though it's generic.

@ready_4_madness: just an opinion. Never said that the movie wasn’t bad, just said it is not THAT bad. And yes, Logan was a great movie but people say it is this masterpiece and the best CBM ever, and I disagree. Top 5 but not the best.

The First Class Trilogy

Newer. All had a terrible, and all had one great one, but the deciding factor is that the middle one in the new trilogy(First Class for me) is > The Wolverine & X-Men also Apocalypse > X-3 and Wolverine origins

Logan is the best movie overall, but it's balanced out by Origins

X-Men prequel trilogy.

Newer. While the original X-1, 2 were fantastic, Last Stand left me sour.

Prequel trilogy slightly above the original one.

Logan trilogy way below.
