setup SSPI over 443
So I have a website on IIS running correctly over http, but when I change to https I lose connection to the database (login failed). I'm not the developer of the site, so I cannot comment on how it is coded. The measured effects are if I can login or not.
I can test the SSPI connection to SQL using ODBC and the credentials supplied in the IIS AppPool and that works, so I know that part is setup correctly.
data source=SQLservername;initial catalog=database;Integrated
Security=SSPI
I know SSPI works when my binding is over http:port
When I change my binding to https it fails
If I remove SSPI and use clear text it works over https
user id=user_name;password=my_password
My question is how do I get SSPI working with a binding over SSL 443 ?
or are they incompatible?
many thanks for your time
Pete
