We can assume so if he's bloodlusted, as emotions seemed to be a factor in how well his powers were used, and from what I recall being on Ego just made his matter manipulation easier.

There is absolutely nothing Thanos can do but hope his durability holds up to Starlord's energy attacks then strike. If he has Hulk's ups then he could possibly maybe win alot easier since he could catch an airborne Starlord.
