BillboardJS Tooltip Position challenge

0

To show small values on a BillboardJS pie chart, I had to rotate the pie 270 degrees:

function rotate(deg, chart)

chart.internal.svg
.style("transformOrigin", "center")
.style("transform", "rotate("+ deg +"deg)")
.selectAll(".bb-chart-arc text")
.each(function()
var node = d3.select(this);
node.attr("transform", node.attr("transform") + " rotate(-"+ deg +")");
);

However now my tooltips move wrong on mouseover: Up = right, right = down, etc. You can enjoy it here in this codepen:
https://codepen.io/DigitalWheelie/pen/EOjVWo

How can I use the tooltip.position option to get mouse coordinates to match the relative movement? Do I want the top to be the mouseX value, and the left to be the mouseY? And if so, how best to get those values?

tooltip:
position: function (data, width, height, element)
return top: [mouseX?], left: [mouseY?];

Thank you!
