I was building app where I used navigation drawer and fragments. I created a test fragment layout and also its java file. Now, when I am trying to import this fragment in the onNavigationItemSelected
method in the navigation drawer . I am getting cannot resolve ImportFragment()
.
I tried everything. My dependencies are correct in app gradle file.
Fragment fragment=null;
int id = item.getItemId();
if (id == R.id.nav_camera) {
fragment = new ImportFragment();
Thank you in advance.

Is ImportFragment in the same package as the class in which this code is? If it is not, you may have to declared the fragment as a public class since you are trying to access it from another class.
So the class declaration line for ImportFragment becomes
public class ImportFragment
//Your class code goes here
